Vallavi Collective Earning once is a start. Earning steadily is a journey

The Gap

The Gap

After learning a skill, many women try to earn on their own. At first, it works.

Small orders come from:

  • neighbours
  • friends
  • known circles

But soon, limits appear.

  • Orders are irregular
  • Income is uncertain
  • Materials cost money
  • Finding customers feels difficult

"What if I don't get the next order?"

"Can I handle a bigger order?"

Without support, many step back.

Working alone begins to feel risky.

Skills remain.

But income doesn't grow.

Collective work

How Vallavi Collective Works

Vallavi Collective brings women together as they begin to earn.

There is no fixed structure.

  • Women form smaller groups based on the work they do.
  • Some work from home
  • Some come together when needed

But the connection stays.

What changes

What changes here

She is no longer working alone.

A larger order that once felt difficult...

is now shared and completed together.

Women decide:

  • who does what
  • how work is shared
  • how income is distributed

If someone struggles, others step in.

Confidence grows with every order completed together.

Collective support

Support that enables growth

Through the collective, women gain access to what they could not reach alone.

  • • raw materials
  • • small tools and machines through microloans
  • • new markets and customers

They begin to move beyond their immediate circles.

Orders grow.
Exposure grows.

And with it, their ability to earn steadily.

The Impact

The Impact

Income becomes more regular.

With larger and repeated orders, women begin to earn steadily.

In active collectives, women earn ₹8,000 or more per month.

But more than the number, something deeper shifts.

They take decisions.
They manage work.
They handle customers.

They begin to see themselves as entrepreneurs. ⭐

In FY 2025-2026, 18 women got together and started an informal collective. Fifty more women are in the process of joining. In 2026-2027, they want to register this as a formal registered collective. By 2027-28, they are certain about having 500 members in the collective.

Textile Printing Collective

Meet the Textile Printing Collective

Vallavi Textile printing group began with just one table.

Today, eight women run it together.

"They have learned screen printing and digital printing."

They manage orders.

They meet their costs.

They earn consistently.

What started small is now self-sustaining.

What we are learning ?

Building a collective is not easy.

Trust takes time.

Working together brings differences.

Conflicts happen.

In a world where trust is not easy, these women choose to build it.

Markets also take time to understand this model.

But every challenge teaches something.

And every time a group stays together, it grows stronger..

This is where individual effort becomes shared strength. You can help more women grow together. <<Participate>>
