Yellow Bag Foundation

Minminigal Children's Learning Centers Every child wants to learn. Not every child gets the support.

The Gap

In many homes, children go to school every day.
But learning does not always happen.

Some children struggle to:

  • Read simple words
  • Write clearly
  • Keep up in class

These gaps grow quietly:

  • A child who doesn't understand begins to stay silent
  • They stop asking questions
  • They stop trying

At home, mothers want to help. But they are unsure how. Between school and home, the child is left to figure things out alone.

How Minminigal Works

Minminigal begins by understanding each child.

Not by age.

Not by grade.

But by where they truly are.

Children come to after-school spaces within their community.

Safe. Familiar. Welcoming.

What happens here

Learning is built step by step.

Children receive support in:

  • reading and writing
  • basic numeracy
  • handwriting and motor skills
  • digital exposure

They also have access to:

  • Computers
  • A small library
  • A space to play
  • A trained staff member who gives individual attention

A nutritious snack is part of their evening.

Minminigal
More than academics

Mothers also begin to engage more in their child’s learning.

More than academics

Something begins to change:

  • A child who was silent begins to speak
  • A child who hesitated begins to try
  • They ask questions
  • They participate

Learning becomes less about fear…and more about curiosity.

The Impact

Children who once struggled begin to read and write with confidence.

They engage in classrooms.

They raise their hands.

They begin to believe they can learn better.

And that belief stays. 🌟

In FY 2025-2026, 120 children were part of the minminigal centers run in three spaces. The first batch of 8 students appeared for their 10th standard board exams. All of them cleared the exams and are continuing their education.

Meet Tarun

Tarun came in as a quiet child. He was undernourished. Often teased. And falling behind in class. Two years at Minminigal changed that. Today, he answers questions. He asks more. He even helps others learn. That is transformation. One Tarun at a time.

What we are learning?

  • Every child learns differently.
  • Some need more time.
  • Some need more care.
  • But when a child feels safe and supported, learning follows.
  • Confidence matters more than speed,
and confidence often comes before performance.

This is where a child’s journey begins to change. You can help make that possible.<<Participate>>
